Strategic Partner: Slayer Espresso

Gauge Design Group has a long history with Slayer Espresso, a company that designs and manufactures beautiful and unique espresso machines in Seattle.  Initially Gauge assisted in the production of prototypes and small batches and has evolved over an eight-year period to the production of all wood components, including steam actuators, handles, tampers, trays, and panels, with more difficult projects of pre-powder coated or gold plated components. Gauge has implemented new technologies to grow and scale production capacity, leading to a substantial growth in component manufacturing in the last 3 years.

Gauge works with 21 different species of wood, enhancing the uniqueness of each Slayer machine. Each component is machined, hand shaped and sanded, and finished with waxed oil providing a level of craftsmanship that can only be seen in luxury finishes such as the interiors of Rolls Royce.
